Available Treatments
Verruca Treatment
Highly effective Cryotherapy and caustic therapy treatment plans are available to treat the verruca. This treatment is better than anything that you can get over the counter and is unique to trained podiatrists.
Ingrown Toenails
Early treatment can usually be quite simple with the minimum of discomfort. If the toe has become badly infected then sometimes a small procedure under local anaesthetic might be required to remove the ingrown nail.
Corns and Calluses
Removing a corn is usually painless. Deborah has lots of experience in treating them, along with calluses and other hard foot skin issues. You can be sure of helpful advice to prevent future return.
Fungal Nails
Toenail fungus is an infection that gets in through cracks in your nail or cuts in your skin. It can make your toenail change colour or get thicker. It can also hurt and can produce an embarrassing smell. Because toes are often warm and damp, fungus grows well there.
FUNGAL NAIL DIAGNOSIS
A fungal nail test is the most effective way to diagnose this common issue. The test costs £50 and can be booked by appointment only. Patients with positive tests proceed to treatment, including the innovative Fungal Nail Laser Therapy, which will be offered subject to consultation.
Athlete’s Foot
Athlete’s foot is a skin fungal infection. It can lead to itchy, cracked, blistered or peeling areas of skin along with redness and scaling. It can occur on moist, waterlogged skin usually between the fourth and fifth toes, or on dry, flaky skin around the heels or elsewhere on the foot. If left untreated, it can infect the nails.
Diabetic Patients
Trained to the highest standard, Deborah is able to help you care for your feet if you are a diabetic. Raised glucose levels over a period of time can contribute to poor circulation in the legs and feet as well as a loss of sensation known as neuropathy.
